Help Victoria Overcome Her Home Crisis

My name is Victoria and I’m sharing my testimony about how I bought my first home by faith. And by faith I believe that the funds needed to address the underlying plumbing issues that I was unaware of before purchasing can be fixed!
In 2020 God lead me to a church in VA. I lived in NC. I followed online for 1 yr before I decided to make a 3 hour drive to attend that Church in person. I knew I had found my church home! For 4 years I faithfully drove 6 hrs on Sundays for church (3 hrs there and 3 hrs back home).
At that time, I was living in my deceased grandmother’s home, which was falling apart around me and growing black and white mold. Over the couple years I was there I lost all my furniture, bed, and so much more due to the mold. The house had a bad roof and since the home belongs to my mother and her siblings whom don’t communicate well the issue was never addressed (my mom is the only local one to the home, everyone else lives out of state). I didn’t want to personally invest on a roof myself being that the property doesn’t belong to me in any way. I stayed there longer than I should have. I lost so much there. 6 months or so before I moved the water heater died and I refused to replace it, knowing that I needed to move out of there anyways. So I had started showering at the gym or at family/friends houses.
I prayed that God would move me closer to church and He did! I bought my first home November 2024
3 days after getting my house keys I paid a contractor that was referred to me $3,400 (half of scope of work) to have all the issues on inspection list addressed since homeowner sold home as is. My main concern from that list was was the leak stain in ceiling and the duct work and asked him to start there. He looked at the plumbing after opening up my ceiling and noticed that the issue was more severe than we anticipated. He wanted more money than what we initially agreed on which I told him I didn’t have extra and we would have to take off some of the other items from the inspection list to make up the difference to address the plumbing issue. 2 months rolled by and the contractor still hadn’t completed any work and was not replying to my messages. I realize I need to press charges and take this man to court. (In the works)
Since being at my new home I realized when I left for a couple days to go finish packing up and gathering stuff from my old home that when I would come back, my water would be brown. I’ve had a new contractor come out and evaluate the situation. They said that I need the pipes replaced all the way to the street. This home is 104 years old and still has the old pipes and that is what is causing my water to turn brown when it sits from rust and also the lack of water pressure in my upstairs bathrooms. The new contractor quoted me $6,950 just to address the plumbing issue alone.
So yet again I after purchasing my own home I’m back to the gym to shower. But at least I had running water to flush my downstairs toilet, until a couple days ago due to the winter weather, a water pipe bust under my crawlspace, and now I am completely without water. Monday 1/27/25 I have someone coming to evaluate the busted pipe issue so I can get water back in my home to at least flush the toilet. I’m unaware of what this will cost, but I need water so I will be charging it on my credit card.
The reality of it is though, I don’t have the 7k funds to address the other main issue with my plumbing. I just want to shower in the comfort of my own home! So I’m here to ask for help! I know I bought this house by Faith being lead by God. This is where He placed me! I love my home and the enemy has been trying to make me think I made a wrong decision, but I know the devil is a liar. And I also know that God would not bring me here to allow me to fail. I truly believe that God would not send me here without giving me the resources to address necessary needs. So I ask that if you feel lead to sow into my life I will be extremely grateful. I promise you I will use the resources to address the plumbing issues immediately! I have no one else to rely on but God and I believe He will provide. I still have other issues to address such as the duct work (my gas bill higher from heating) but I’ll deal with that later along with buying furniture and such, I just need help now to address the plumbing issues immediately. Please if you can help with any amount it adds up! It helps! And I will be forever grateful!! And I believe it will be returned to you in other ways by the grace and favor from Jesus Christ!! It’s been a long journey out here for me but I’m just out here trusting God! Thank you for reading my story and for considering me out of the many out here that are seeking help. May God Bless You For Blessing Me!!
*Update Worleys Home Services came out and replaced the busted pipe that had froze. So I have water back to flush toilet!!
Technician stated that the plumbing to the entire home really needs to be addressed to truly stop the brown water issue. And pointed out how some of the previous plumbing was done incorrectly. He said if I only get part of the galvanized pipe pipes replaced, I’ll still have the issue. The quote I have from the other contractor is not to fix the whole house‘s plumbing. It’s only for a portion of my house is plumbing.
Worleys quoted me $23,000 for the plumbing and another $6,000 if I go ahead and replace the sewage lines as well. Not including repairs to the sheet rock since my walls will be damaged to fix the plumbing. That’s estimated at another $6,000. The thought of all this is overwhelming but I’m giving this burden to God! I know my Lord will make a way to get everything handled. Gods got a plan!!
Please feel free to share my link to anyone, hopefully somebody who can help will see it and donate. Thank you so much in advance.
