Help Victoria Ballentine Fight Crohns & Ulcerative Colitis

UPDATES below... April 6, 2025

Victoria has been battling this disease for over 18 years. She had her original surgery for the removal of her colon and large intestines in October 2024. After many medical set-backs and a long hospital admission, she was well enough to have the reconnective surgery on February 28, 2025 with the plan to remove her ostomy bag and live a normal, active life. Unfortunately, the surgery didn’t go as planned. There was a severe leak and her abdominal cavity filled with poison, she has now been in ICU for 11 days so far with small improvements. Even though she has medical insurance, it is not covering all of her surmounting medical bills, she is not able to work, care for her 4-year old daughter Perna or attend her classes as she is enrolled at Rivier College trying to finish her RN program.
Victoria is my son Joshua Hill's girlfriend.
Please consider helping Victoria!

UPDATE 3/19/25
Thank you so much for all your thoughts, prayers and donations so far!! Your prayers have helped, as of today, Victoria has been moved out of ICU and into a regular room. She still has many drain tubs and wound vac. She had developed a fever overnight and her heart rate has been elevated which means more infection somewhere. PLEASE keep praying and donating. She is making small and steady progress!

UPDATE 3/21/25
Victoria reports small progression of healing. She has had some stitches out and the wound vac has been made smaller. However she had developed severe flank, neck and back pain and was unable to move her right leg, could not lift it or walk. They had to remove her epidural as it was collecting and building up fluid/pressure. Please continue to pray for her recovery. Thank you again for all the wonderful donations! Please feel free to share her story.

UPDATE 3/31/25
Victoria is finally home from the hospital after 22 days in the hospital!! She has a very long road of recovery ahead of her, but she is strong and determined - she will prevail. She currently has visiting nurses coming to assist taking care of her abdominal drains. She is still in a great deal of pain daily. Please keep her in your prayers and PLEASE keep the donations coming. She will be out of work for quite a while. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support for Victoria!!

UPDATE 4/6/25
Victoria is still in a great deal of discomfort. She has had a couple of the abdominal drains removed with the hopes of having them all out by the end of this week. Please continue to send prayers and support. We cannot thank you all enough for your generosity!!
