Help Victoria Conquer Cancer: Support Her Healing Journey
We’re reaching out as Victoria’s found family—her community, her people, and the ones lucky enough to know her light.
If you’ve ever walked into R Bar in Koreatown, chances are you’ve met Victoria. She’s the kind of bartender who doesn’t just pour drinks—she brings people in, makes strangers feel like regulars, and reminds us all that community is something you build.
In March 2025, Victoria was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer. The tumor, located on her head, grew quickly and aggressively. At the end of April, she underwent major surgery to remove the tumor, a sentinel lymph node biopsy, which involved removing three lymph nodes from behind her ear and jaw, and a skin graft, using skin from her thigh to cover the tumor site.
We’re incredibly grateful to share that the surgery was a success—the tumor and surrounding tissue were completely removed. The surgeon even said, “The skin graft took 110%!” But as with many cancer journeys, it’s not over yet. The lymph nodes came back positive, and more testing is underway to build a treatment plan that ensures the cancer is fully eradicated.
Victoria has already been through months of doctor’s appointments, scans, paperwork, and the constant uphill battle with insurance. She’s handled it all with fierce strength, grace, and that same spark she brings to life. We’re relieved that the hardest part—the surgery—is behind her. Now she needs time to heal, focus on recovery, and prepare for the next phase of treatment.
We’re asking for your help to support Victoria through this time. Your donations will go directly toward covering medical expenses, recovery needs, lost income from time off work, and whatever it takes to help her kick cancer’s ass and get back to doing what she loves—bringing people together.
Thank you for standing with Victoria. Whether it’s through a donation, a share, or a kind word—every bit of love counts.
With gratitude,
Victoria’s Found Family
