From Victoria’s parents

I am hesitant and slightly embarrassed to even put this out. Our family is very blessed and I am sure there are people that need money and prayers more than we do. We will always give and assist Victoria with anything she needs. I also know that Victoria is loved by many that may want the blessing of helping her directly. All money raised through this will do directly to her for medical bills and to replace the monies she lost from the motorcycle.

Today 25 Aug marks the one year anniversary of Victoria’s accident. For those of you that do not know, she was riding her motorcycle and proceeded into an intersection where she was struck from the left side by a car. She suffered major trauma to her left leg. She was in UM Shock Trauma for two weeks and has had multiple orthopedic surgeries over the last year. Victoria was a beautiful, happy, active 21 year old girl getting ready to head off to her senior year of college when everything changed in an instant. This past year has been long and difficult for her but she has persevered, completing college and starting a new job. I am happy to say that she is still beautiful, has a good spirit, and is on the way to a full recovery.

Victoria took a total loss on her motorcycle which she had purchased with her own money saved up as a teenager. United Healthcare has been very good to us and has covered most of the expense but there have been significant copays and she is probably going to require therapy beyond what they will cover. She will walk again but it is difficult to quantify what long term care she will require.
