Help Victoria and Devin Overcome Medical Bills
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Victoria and I truly appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read my story.
I am a full-time single mom to my son and 2 fur babies, Devin and Mikasa. I am also disabled as a result of a TIA, living with an autoimmune disease and a rare form of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
At the beginning of 2024, my immune system crashed. I got an infection that was antibiotic-resistant and grew rapidly, spreading to my mouth, cheek, teeth, and jawbone. I became pre-septic and had to have emergency surgery at an outpatient surgical center to remove the infection, 4 teeth, and surrounding tissues followed up with a month of intense antibiotics and a liquid/soft diet. My insurance company covered a portion of the costs but none of the emergency or follow-up care.
During this time, we also learned our 13-year-old pup had cancer and needed to have her right eye removed. Because of her age and location of the cancer, it was a longer surgery with more blood work and precautions resulting in a larger bill than a typical enucleation.
I am happy to say that we have both recovered but the bills have come due and my follow-up care has been paused as a result.
Any amount you are willing to contribute is greatly appreciated and will go directly to paying off the medical bills for both Devin and I with any remaining going towards the much-needed IV treatments to get my immune system back in working order.
If you aren't able to contribute, taking the time to read this means more than you know and sharing with your friends and family would mean the world as well.
Thank you for your time!!
