My name is Victor Intham, and I have been a farmer for 20 years. In March 2026, the Kona Low Storm swept through our area and changed my life overnight. I’ve been leasing my land here for just a year, working hard to build a new life after years as a factory worker in Minnesota. When the storm hit, the floodwaters swept over our entire property, destroying everything in their path. I couldn’t sell anything because all my crops were damaged. The water was up to my waist inside my home, and I lost all my provisions. I was lucky to know how to swim. I lost all our banana, bittermelon, and every crop that made up our livelihood on our one-acre farm. My car was totaled, our generators were broken, and my home became unlivable after being completely flooded. I’ve had to create a temporary structure just to have a place to sleep. The loss has been overwhelming, but I am determined to rebuild and continue farming. The funds from this fundraiser will help me with immediate and urgent needs and help me get back on my feet. This help would be so appreciated. Any support, no matter how small, means the world to me as I work to recover from this disaster.
