Help Victor Igler through this difficult time

Dear friends, brothers and sisters.

I am writing to you on behalf of a dear friend, Victor Igler who needs some help.
Over the past couple of years, Vic’s life has taken a turn for the worst, through a course of events that are not only bizarre but incongruent with that of a normal person’s life.
In June 2020, Vic fell off a ladder at work whilst rendering, piercing his leg with a concrete trowel. What appeared to be a nasty cut to the leg that required numerous stitches, escalated into a severe accident when the hospital he attended, closed the wound and left debris and a piece of steel in the wound, which led to a Golden Staph infection.
After numerous operations, skin graphs and vascular surgery, Vic was able to retain his leg with some deformities and reduced mobility and was unable to return to work.
In May 2022, Vic’s bad luck continued when he woke one morning to reduced sight in one eye. Concerned with the impaired vision and visual acuity, Vic sort medical assistance again, only to be told that the deteriorating vision was the cause of a rare condition called (NAION) non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, which refers to the loss of blood flow to the optic nerve. Vic has since lost around 83% of the vision in his eye, which has further impacted his lifestyle or means to make a living.
If you thought Vic’s bad luck couldn’t continue, then the old saying “Things Come in Threes” is correct in Vic’s case. After many hours spent in hospital beds and at home recovering, Vic’s family life broke down, with his wife leaving him in June 2022, leaving him to care for his three beautiful children, his son aged 10 and two daughters aged 14 and 19.
With the inability to work and all financial resources being saturated, Vic’s financial position has been exacerbated by the unfortunate course of events. WorkCover payments expired in October 2021 whilst Legal action has commenced against the hospital through a negligence claim. Unfortunately, Vic has been told this could take up to 2 years before any compensation is awarded and Vic has just sold the family car to pay for food and bills which continue to escalate, leaving him without any form of transport.
For those of you who know Vic, he is both a humble man and a proud father and would never ask anyone for help, however, he is burdened by the misfortune and trials that have crossed his path. Vic needs some financial assistance to help get him through this difficult time in his life and to help raise his children and get the younger kids through school. I know any parent reading this will feel Vic’s pain and misfortune and I hope everyone can reach into their hearts and help Vic through this difficult time. A “Go Fund Me “page has been set up to help Vic and his kids and any donation, be it small or large, is appreciated.
Whilst it is respected and valued that many families and individuals are struggling and suffering not only here on the Gold Coast, but around the world and if you are unable to help then Vic would completely understand. We would however like you to join in our prayers for Vic and his children and allow Christ and his divine intervention to take care of the family.
