My name is Victor Lewis, and I am a proud member of the University of Arizona Wheelchair Basketball Team.
Seven years ago, my life changed when I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome as a result of an adverse reaction to a vaccination. What followed was one of the most difficult challenges I have ever faced—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
But through that challenge, I found something powerful. I found purpose.
Wheelchair basketball has become more than just a sport to me—it has been a path forward. It has given me strength, discipline, and the belief that setbacks do not define us… how we rise does.
This year, I have been given an incredible opportunity to once again represent wheelchair basketball on an international stage—this time in Japan, competing in a three-on-three tournament against athletes from around the world. Last year, I had the honor of traveling to India, and this next step means even more to me. It is a chance to continue proving—to myself and to others—that anything is possible with perseverance and heart.
I am working to raise $3,200 to help cover airfare and travel expenses for this journey.
Every dollar, every share, and every word of encouragement helps carry me forward—not just to Japan, but toward a future that once felt uncertain.
If you are able to support me, I would be incredibly grateful. And if not, simply sharing this means the world to me.
Thank you for being part of my journey.
