Rent and Expenses for disabled Victor Rodriguez

UPDATE JANUARY 2022

THANK YOU to all who have helped Victor since his tragic accident. Victor and his family are GRATEFUL to all the family, friends and members of the community who have sent Prayers and Donations to assist this family through a very CHALLENGING year.

Victor remains paralyzed. The doctors are hopeful that the nerves are regenerating, but it has been a VERY painful process for Victor. The donations and kindness of friends and strangers and state unemployment have been helpful in sustaining the family up to now, but the benefits have run out.

This is a time of great struggle for many families. Please try to imagine yourself in Victor's shoes...strong, healthy and working to support his family one day (in fact, newly restored in his church the day before) and suddenly in an instant he is a parapalegic, unable to walk and take care of himself, and in constant pain. Thankfully, his faith and family have kept him going. He still needs your prayers and your help.

Please help in any way you can to contribute to the rent and other living expenses for Victor and is family until permanent benefits can be secured. Any amount is appreciated!

ORIGINAL STORY
On October 26th, 2020, Victor Rodriguez was riding his bicycle on his way home from work in Chula Vista, CA when he was tragically hit by a car. The car hit him from behind and shamefully TRAVELED ON... leaving Victor laying in the street with a severed spinal cord. Although doctors tried to repair the damage, he has been paralyzed and in a wheelchair ever since.

Victor was in the hospital until late December. He remains unable to walk,  unable to work at his job at Nassco or support his family. His entire life was changed in an instant and no one knows who is responsible.

Thankfully, with the loving support of his wife and church family, Victor feels blessed to be alive. His wife has cared for him full-time but must return to work to support the family.

We are asking for your help from Victor's church family for brother Victor and his family. They need to raise the funds NOW for several months of expenses for suitable housing that is ADA Compliant or can be accommodated with these funds.

Please DONATE to help Victor and his family in their time of need.

If you saw or know ANYTHING about the accident please contact us or Chula Vista PD!

Thank you!
