Two huge earthquakes (7.8 and 7.5) hit southeast Turkiye, one after another on February 6. The death toll is increasing as we speak, more than 47,475. Wounded and homeless are in the hundreds of thousands in the middle of the blistering cold. There is frantic and anguished activity to reach the persons buried alive under the rubble.
