WHAT'S HAPPENNING IN MYANMAR?

On February 1, 2021, the Myanmar military staged a coup and detained leaders from the democratically elected civilian government.

Since February 6, in response to the coup, millions and millions of people across country started peacefully protesting against the coup.

The people inside the country have also organized the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) to support democracy.

While protests have been observed peaceful mostly, the military has responded by using water cannons and live bullets, killing and injuring many to crack down the lawful protests.

Communications are being cut at night, police are now being reported using live round on protesters.

People were shot to death and many were injured when the police brutally crackdown a protest in Mandalay, upper Myanmar. We must act now!

Randomized arrests on civilians are being done at night, political leaders are still detained... We am urging leaders of the world to protect humans rights of Myanmar citizens, such kind and loving people need our help!

Already being poverty stricken, the people of Myanmar, thousands of children, men and women are in need of support with their emergency medical care, food and other basic needs.

The situation right now is alarming and people are in urgent need of help and ressources. All your donation will go directly to help the civilian victims of the crackdown with their basic needs.

Your donation will be transferred to our Canadian account and sent directly to our key people on the ground in Yangon via  wire Transfer.

Our contacts on the ground are using the funds to provide people with  water, groceries and rice - each sack of rice will feed a family for two weeks.

We're registering the families and delivering the rice ourselves.

Some families are in a serious situation with nothing to eat in their kitchen, their rice storage are empty.

If you donate 150 CAD (120 USD) we can buy 10 sacks of rice for 10 families, enough for 2 weeks

If you donate 15 CAD (12 USD), we will buy 1 sack of rice for 1 family, enough for 2 weeks

Your donation will save lives. While the political situation is evolving and hopefully getting sorted out soon,  let’s at least help keep people alive.

Since the coup, Dave has been actively posting his Facebook page (www.facebook.com/kingleduc) about the situation, trying to raise awareness, but it's time to help the beautiful people of Myanmar.

MESSAGE FROM DAVE:

"I have travelled the world and the people of Myanmar are the kindest people I have ever met, they are so polite, humble, generous and they are so worthy of all the support we can offer, so thank you for all your help.

A year ago, 16% of the families in Myanmar were living in "extreme poverty", that means on less than USD 1.90 per day. Now, after a year of covid, lockdowns and no work, that figure is up round 60%. And unfortunately now after the coup, it will only get worse.

The situation is urgent and the measures are intensifying measures by the military and police forces in Myanmar, please help and donate, your money will directly go to the people!

This is the time for us to show our human compassion & love with some of the most in need. This is a good chance for you to make your contributions in case you've been wondering where and how to help with the people of Myanmar.

Please give what you can, anything helps... Thanks to everyone who made their contributions"
