Help Vickie Burns and Family Through Crisis

My name is Melissa Davis, and on October 27, 2024, my world and life as I know it changed! That evening, an O'Fallon, MO, police officer came to our house to tell me that my mom was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and is in critical condition. For 3 days, I didn't know what happened or how it happened. The only thing I was told is the driver of the motorcycle and the passenger, which was my mom, were ejected. My mom is in the ICU at Mercy Hospital fighting for her life, on a ventilator, has brain bleeds, and multiple broken bones. The most frustrating thing is she was wearing her helmet but is in a coma fighting for her life!

I am a single mom of 2 and haven't been able to work due to stress and having to be her voice and make all her medical decisions. I don't know how I will maintain the house bills and buy food to feed myself and my kids. I break down every day not knowing if she's going to make it, and I don't know how I am going to keep everything paid with no work and no money coming in.

My mom's name is Vickie Burns, and she is one great person! Everyone who knows her can tell you that also. She loves her grandkids so much, and they miss her so bad. They are not able to see her since she is in the ICU, and it's tough on them not being able to see her.

I hate asking for things, but this is something I have to do because if we lost the house because of not paying the mortgage, that would be devastating for her. She has lived in the same house for about 19 years, and I need to make sure she comes home to that same house for another 19! Anything will help, and I truly am grateful for any help we can get!
