Help Vicki Creech With Her Medical Expenses

This is our classmate; Vicki Creech, from the Class of 1989. Most of you probably know her from our school years, or reconnected with her through social media over the years.

Vicki is one of those people who will give you the shirt off her back, in any way that she can. She has been there for many of us with an empathetic ear. Now? SHE NEEDS OUR HELP!

About 8 weeks ago, Vicki started out with just a single point of pain in her left ankle. As she was treating it with ice it just kept getting worse. The whole ankle started swelling, and then it started bruising (first red, then purple, then black). Then, the exact same thing started happening to her right ankle, and then it happened to both of her feet. Then, from her ankles to her knees, she broke out in red and reddish-purple dots. (Doctors said it is Petechia and Propura)

Vicki ended up in ICU with a blood clot in her lungs, with her kidneys not working properly, and she had also lost over a pint of blood. She is home now but is NOT out of danger. She is still badly bruised, and it has still continued to spread. The only thing keeping the bad swelling down is Prednisone (she still has swelling even after being on it for several weeks). She cannot walk without a walker, and has to use a wheelchair to get to her appointments. She does physical therapy, in home, walking laps using her walker. Her kidneys are still not working properly, plus, a host of other bad symptoms.

She has a team of doctors working on her case. They have run almost 80 tests on her so far, and counting… she continues to get tested for new diseases, and re-tested for others. She has had a lot of imaging done on both of her ankles/feet, and also on her lungs because of blood clots. She has also had three biopsies. A Bone Marrow Biopsy may be one of the next steps in trying to get answers. Plus, she is currently on a lot of new meds, and seeing many more new doctors.

Unfortunately, none of her many doctors have seen anything like this before. They believe it is a rare autoimmune disease, or two rare autoimmune diseases combined. (a rare Vasculitis, and a rare Kidney, autoimmune disease). Her testing so far has led them to ZERO answers that would give them a definitive diagnosis, or diagnoses.

Vicki is on a limited, and fixed, income. We started two fundraisers for her medical expenses; the GoFundMe Fundraiser attached to this post, and her PayPal (link in the comments). As you can imagine, her medical expenses are adding up quickly, and have started rolling in fast. Please, Vicki needs our help with her medical expenses. There is no amount too little… every little bit helps.

Let’s PULL TOGETHER, and help Vicki reach her fundraising goal!! I KNOW that we can do it!! If there’s any cause worth donating to it’s THIS… she’s our friend, our classmate, someone we have always cared about, and she needs us now more than ever!! Throughout this whole unexpected ordeal… Vicki continues trying to remain her positive-upbeat self. She has her moments, and the last thing she needs is anxiety and stress over these new and costly medical expenses.

If you would… please, help by sharing this more detailed post ALL OVER social media… even on your Group Pages. Let’s get the word out that the friend we care about needs us.

Thank you.
