Help Vicki Battle ALS

It is with extremely heavy, but also very positive hearts that we have to share the news that our dear friend, Vicki Davis (now Sawyer), was recently diagnosed with ALS at just 28 years old. As you may already know, there is no cure for this disease, only treatment to help slow the progression of it.
Vicki's passion for life has been unheeded by the diagnosis, and she shares that passion with her family, her new husband Travis, her friends, and her students at Ocean View Elementary. Vicki, being the tough, resilient woman she has always been, decided that she is not dying from ALS, but that she is going to live with it and continue to do what she loves and teach her students as long as possible, as well as continue to live her best life. We want to make that happen, and help her kick ALS's butt for as long as possible. If there's anyone that could succeed in that endeavor, it's Vicki Sawyer.
We're setting this page up in the hopes of helping ease the significant financial burden her battle with ALS will bring, and to support her as much as we can! She will be taking multiple avenues of approach in treating this disease with several medications, clinical trials, and alternative medicines and holistic treatments that have been proven to help with the symptoms she will be facing. In addition to this, assistive devices and home modifications will be addressed as needed. It will cost her thousands a month in treatment so that she may continue to live her life as a new wife and passionate teacher, and to continue KICKING ALS'S BUTT! Let us help her continue to be the superhero she already is.
