This morning, Vicki and Ken Zielzany woke up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they had gone when they evacuated from Fort Myers, Florida, to get out of Milton's path. Little did they know that by afternoon, they would receive word that their home had been destroyed by a tornado before Milton even got to hit land.

Many of you know Vicki as "Coach Z," who for many years was the coach of the Delaware Valley Water Moccasins Age Group Swim Club and the Delaware Valley High School Varsity Swim Team, as well as coaching teams in local lake communities. Ken was always at her side, cheering on our kids with his warm smile and helping any way he could.

Vicki was not your average coach. While she coached many winning teams, her primary focus was on building self-confidence, team spirit, good sportsmanship, and good character in our kids. Even the slowest child on the team was celebrated like a gold medal winner when he or she beat their own personal best.

I'm also blessed to have developed a friendship with them as the parents of one of my daughter's best friends, Dana, and her beloved sister Beth.

Vicki and Ken poured a lot of years into our kids, most of whom now have kids of their own. Now, is a chance for us to give something back!
