Some would call me a "people-pleaser" but I like to think of myself as someone who just enjoys to make people smile. My name is Vianka Barrios, I am 25 years old and my passion is helping people. More specifically I want to be a Physician Assistant. I applied for a medical internship in a small city in Peru called Cusco, and with great effort and persistence I got in! I  will be there for two months volunteering my time along side medical professionals  to help the less fortunate that can not afford medical care. However this internship is not payed for and I will have to pay out of pocket. The $3,500 goal will help pay for my airfare as well as the cost of the internship of $2,000 for food and stay. 

Being raised by a single parent, my mom has worked extremely hard to give me the best life she could, and continues to do so today. I am extremely proud to know I've been raised by such a strong, independent woman whom has always pushed and guided me to reach my best potential. With that being said, I am seeking your help in reaching my goal to expand my knowledge in the medical field and my journey to one day become a Physician Assistant.
