Dear Friend and Supporter,
We are the VFW Warriors of District 12, Post 4031 in Durango, Colorado. For over twenty years, our veterans riding group has proudly served both our fellow veterans and our local community.
Our mission goes far beyond the road. We conduct community service projects that include highway cleanups, building handicap ramps for elderly and disabled veterans, and making home visits to veterans who are unable to get out and connect with others. We stand beside those who once stood for all of us.
In addition to service, we provide camaraderie and support for our members through riding, camping, fishing, and fellowship. For many veterans, this brotherhood is more than recreation — it is a vital support system.
This July 24–30, 2026, we are planning a large group ride to Reno, Nevada, to attend the National VFW Convention. This year’s convention is especially important to us. After twenty years of service as the VFW Warriors, national officers are attempting to take away our patch and change our name. We believe strongly in preserving our identity, our history, and the legacy we have built through decades of service.
We are asking for your support to help fund travel expenses so our members can attend this critical convention and represent our post with pride. Every donation — no matter the size — helps ensure our voices are heard and our tradition continues.
Our veterans have given so much in service to this country. Now we humbly ask for your support so we may continue serving others and defending the legacy we have worked so hard to build.
If you are able to contribute or would like more information about sponsorship opportunities, please contact us. We deeply appreciate your consideration and your support of local veterans.
With gratitude and respect,
VFW WarriorsDistrict 12 – Post 4031Durango, Colorado
