Help VFW Post 912
VFW Post 912 is currently in a severe
financial crisis. We are very close to
exhaustingly all our operating funds.
We along with many businesses, were
closed due to covid19 pandemic. This
closure happened during our most
active time of raising funds. Our largest fund raising event, the spring turkey
shoot had to be cancelled. All bingo
sessions, canteen (bar) operations, and a full schedule of event rentals were also cancelled. These activities combined
would have provided an estimated
$30,000 of funds. These funds are used to support veterans causes, community service programs and to operate and
maintain our Post. No federal or state
financial assistance for has been
provided.
Three years ago when the Post was
devastated by Hurricane Harvey, the
community pitched in to help us rebuild. After a year on the slow road to recovery we had to shutdown again due to the
pandemic.
We are once again asking for the
communities financial Support for our
local veterans. This gofundme campaign
will be used solely to pay operating cost for our Post. Any amount of
contributions will be sincerely
appreciated.
Our VFW, Robert R. Tuck Post 912 was
charted in 1922. It is named after RobertR. Tuck, the first soldier killed in WW I
from Baytown. We will celebrate 100
years in 2022, but we can’t make it
without the communities support.
All donations tax deductible.
