Vezelda Allen has been the dedicated cleaner at East Bay Community Space for over five years. Two weeks ago, her husband was riding his scooter when he was the victim in a hit and run accident. Not only did the car not stop, but it pulled the scooter for one and a half blocks before it sped away.

Derek has been in the hospital ever since. Vezelda needs to care for him and their children, so she is unable to work.
