Help Veterans Rebuild After Symsonia Flood
Donation protected
My Fiancé (Patrick) and I (Destiny) moved into a beautiful house in Symsonia Ky at the beginning of this year. We absolutely loved it until the floods came on April 6th 2025 and we had to get rescued by the National Guard as water was filling our house. We sat in the water for five hours until they were able to safely rescue us and took us to an American Red Cross shelter. We are both veterans and are so grateful for the help we received to get out safely. In the flood we lost beds, a car, a tv, a couch, many appliances, sentimental items, countless clothes and so much more. We are hoping to use these donations to get back on our feet, replace lost furniture and find some housing. Not only that but our landlords have also been through their second flood in less than 15 years. They have had to rip out floors and walls to fix the house at their own cost. They are amazing people who have both been so good to us and we want to help them through this terrible time as well. Everyone knows about flooding and natural disasters but no one realizes it can happen to them until it’s too late.
