Help Veterans Live Better with Parkinson's
Donation protected
I am a veteran and former police officer. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in my mid-40s. I'm going on 10 years fighting my battle with Parkinson’s. I stay active by running, walking, rucking, cross-training, kayaking, fishing, meditation, and yoga, as I am a true believer that fitness and staying active decreases tremors and slows the progression. Parkinson's doesn't care how old you are. It doesn't care about family history or current health. There is still a lot to learn about this disease. The more funding we provide, the more research and better treatment will develop to beat this disease. I am here to start a fundraiser to help veterans or anyone who has Parkinson’s live a better life. It’s hard for people living with Parkinson’s to pay bills, buy groceries, etc., as it’s hard to work and live. I know how it feels. When I first learned I had it, I was in denial, embarrassed to be seen, and depressed. Struggling financially, but I kept fighting and was blessed to have friends that helped me through my struggles. Now it’s my turn to help others living with this disease. Please help me raise money to help veterans, people with Parkinson’s, and research to beat and one day win the war against Parkinson’s.
We hope that the funds can be used to support the fight against PD and help people with Parkinson's live better lives. If our efforts could be used to support someone in need, we would all be able to say that we feel..."so good, so good, so good!"
