About Veterans Outdoor Project
The Veterans Outdoor Project is a New England-based organization dedicated to supporting veterans as they heal from the visible and invisible wounds of war. Our mission is simple but powerful: to provide veterans with a healthy and rewarding outlet through the therapeutic power of nature, hunting, and fishing.
By introducing veterans to the outdoors and teaching them traditional skills such as tracking, hunting, fly fishing, and wilderness survival, we foster not only new skills—but renewed purpose, confidence, and camaraderie. Time spent in the field allows our veterans to reconnect with themselves, bond with others who understand their experiences, and find peace and perspective in the stillness of the woods and waters.
With locations throughout New England, our programs are led by a dedicated team of veterans, civilians, master outdoorsmen, and licensed hunting guides. Each member of our team brings experience, compassion, and a deep respect for the outdoors—ensuring that every veteran we serve feels supported, safe, and empowered.
At Veterans Outdoor Project, we believe that healing begins with connection—to the land, to each other, and to a sense of purpose beyond the battlefield.
