My name is Ada Konishi and on the night of Tuesday, January 7, my husband (Ronnie) and I were forced to evacuate our home in Altadena due to the raging Eaton Fire. We left thinking we would return the next day to gather our belongings—only to find our world reduced to ashes.
We are retired Grandparents: I am an elderly NANA, and my husband is a Vietnam War veteran Grandpa. For decades, we built a life filled with love, memories, and treasures, many of which were passed down through generations. Every photo, every family heirloom, every precious item that told the story of our lives and the people we love, is now gone. Ronnie's MILITARY uniform and his MEDALS are now ashes. The fire didn’t just take our home—it took our history.
We are left with only the clothes on our backs. Nothing more. And while we are grateful to be alive, the grief of losing everything is overwhelming. With no home, no savings, and no means to replace what was lost, we’re reaching out for help.
We never imagined we would find ourselves in this position, but the devastation has left us no choice. We are raising funds to rebuild our lives and provide essentials that most take for granted.
Your support would mean the world to us during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to rebuilding our future. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering a contribution to help us start over.
