Help Veteran Pay Bills after Wife Death then Fire

Donation protected
After Dave’s wife died two months ago, his house in Texas burnt down last week, possibly from an electrical short.  Everything was lost.
He luckily escaped with the dog at 2am when he awoke to the smoke and flames. This was his dream house with his wife after moving from Seattle to be with his biological family.

This is in Texas and has nothing to do with California or other fires.

The insurance is dragging its heels and the VA is not helping. This guy has given so much to everyone in his life and now needs some support from friends and from those who appreciate a United States military veteran or incredible human being.

Funds raised will go towards:

1.  putting a temporary roof (hotel, then simple apartment) over his head until the insurance hopefully comes through to rebuild or relocate him,
2. get him some clothes and basics since everything was destroyed.

Let’s pay it forward or backward !!  Dave has helped his country and many around him over the years through gestures big and small (including his excellent cooking, fixing friends’ cars, etc without asking anything).

As for me, Dave grew up on my block in Seattle when we were kids. His dad and my dad were best friends. He is like my brother.  I live in California now.
