Help veteran, Jon Fraley, injured by drunk driver
On Sunday, March 28, 2021, while on the way to work, Jon Fraley’s vehicle was struck head-on at interstate speeds by a drunk driver traveling the wrong direction on a divided highway.
Jon is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was rushed to the trauma center in critical condition. Jon suffered multiple broken bones and
injuries including a shattered nose; fractured ribs; bruised lungs; pneumothorax; a lacerated liver; 4 fractured vertebrae; a fractured hip and leg; a knee injury; a crushed and dislocated ankle; and a crushed foot.
Surgeries have been performed on his hip, leg, and foot with more surgeries yet to come. Whether he will be able to walk again is still unknown.
As with so many other young families, this family was already suffering serious financial effects of the pandemic through no fault of their own. Automobile insurance limits will not come close to the amount necessary for the medical bills that have been and will continue to be incurred.
Jon’s family includes his wife and 4 children ranging in age from 5 to 15. Jon is currently unable to work because of his injuries. Due to the extent of the damage to his body, his employment future is still uncertain. With the injuries and all of the plates and rods in his body, he will likely have continual pain making the future uncertain on what kind of work he will be able to perform months/years down the line.
Please help this young family recover from this tragedy by assisting with the mounting medical and living expenses that will be required. Anything you can do will be appreciated. Please keep Jon and his family in your prayers. Thank you.
