Hearing about Vietnam-era veteran and horsewoman Connie Osier's tragic situation is devastating. A recent wildfire burned its way through Connie's rural community, annihilating her small, hard-earned California property. Thankfully, she managed to evacuate herself and her beloved animals. A recently installed water system saved her house, and her insurance will cover the losses of her other structures. However, many other possessions such as water storage tanks, water lines, hoses, wood splitter, trailer and lots more were damaged or destroyed - to the tune of $12,000 worth of loss that will not be recouped.

 

She reached out to the Veteran Disaster Line with no luck. No other agency is willing to help her repair or replace her severely damaged infrastructure, ruined fences, hazardous tree removal, and more.
