Veruca is my 10-year-old British Shorthair cat, and she’s truly my baby. She’s been a part of our family since she was just 8 weeks old, and her gentle, loving nature has brought so much joy to our lives. In November 2025, I noticed Veruca was acting lethargic and having trouble breathing. I took her to our local vet, where they ran bloodwork that came back normal. She was prescribed a tapered course of steroids, and for a while, she seemed to improve.
Unfortunately, in January, Veruca had another episode. After a stressful trip to the emergency vet and follow-up visits with our regular vet, she was diagnosed with asthma. Another course of steroids helped, but her vet now recommends ongoing medication to help her breathing and keep her comfortable. Veruca is the sweetest kitty ever, and I love her more than anything. I want to do everything possible to keep her happy and healthy.
I’m asking for help to cover the costs of Veruca’s vet visits and medications. Any support would mean the world to us and help ensure Veruca can continue to live a long, happy, and healthy life. Thank you for reading her story and for considering a donation to help my sweet girl.
