Help Veronica with Nursing School!

Hello! I'm Veronica Aristeo

I am embarking on a journey to become a nurse! I've been accepted to a highly competitive Bachelor's of Science in Nursing program and will be attending this program From Fall 2021 to Summer 2023. At the end, I will have a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) and will begin working as a Registered Nurse (RN). I plan to focus my efforts towards community health and emergency medicine and dedicate myself to creating more medical support and advocacy for underserved communities who have been harmed and unsupported by the medical system.

I'm a long time street medic and social justice activist and have been focused on harm reduction, sexual health and medical advocacy for LGBTQ and homeless communities for 10+ years. I have wanted to go to nursing school for many, many years to continue and expand on this work and commitment. It feels like an incredible accomplishment to be where I am today and to make that dream possible.

One of my biggest challenges now is securing funding. I have exhausted all my resources and unfortunately did not receive the scholarship that would have relieved a lot of my financial burden. The funding needed to begin and continue my program this year is currently out of reach and quite overwhelming. Tuition, books and medical supplies are immediate needs. I am reaching out to you today to ask for your help in investing in my journey and future.

Here is a breakdown estimate of costs for my first year of school.

Tuition and Fees: $12,075

Books and Supplies: $2,400

Rent and Bills: $10,500

Personal Expenses $5,000
