Help Veronica Heal from Chronic Q-Fever
Donation protected
My name is Pat Dalessandro, my daughter Veronica Duncan has had a chronic illness for 6 years, she finally has a diagnosis.
Chronic Q-Fever A Disabling Disease Affects only 0.35 in a million and only 5% of them get to the chronic stage due to delayed diagnosis.
She is now free of searching for answers and can start to heal. It will be challenging as she will be on several medications for 2 years along with other treatments.
Her Story:
Soon after returning home to MI after living in FL for 5 years, she was feeling ill with fatigue, irritability, and severe itching on her head. Her daughters, shaved her head, finding a target lesion and believed it was from a tick. After visiting several different dermatologists to get answers, one diagnosed her as delusional. Her nightmare begins!
With so many visits to doctors and hospitals to find answers, she has encountered thousands of dollars in deductibles every year for 6 years. It’s now been over 2 years since she has worked and waiting on disability. We are now reaching out for help.
Although tests revealed: brain scan with possible Lyme and small vessel disease, lung nodules, bone density scan as if she were 80 years old, ulcers in her mouth, throat, and skin, blood disorders, muscle, bone, and nerve pain, doctors stated they were separate issues and not at all related. Drs were still treating her as delusional. This broke her heart and caused us all so much additional stress!
A friend from church told me about a doctor that diagnosed her with Lyme disease when other Drs failed her. He did not take her insurance, but we had to try. After a 1-hour appointment reviewing her past tests and symptoms, and proper testing ordered. In just 10 days we had a diagnosis.
Thanks to Dr. Keri Topouzian, D.O.
Such a knowledgeable and caring doctor.
