Today we reach out to you with a heart full of hope and a plea for generosity on behalf of Veronica and her extraordinary daughter, Dahlia.
Dahlia has faced unimaginable challenges from the moment she arrived in this world. Born with complications, Dahlia was deprived of oxygen for a harrowing 15 minutes, an event that has shaped every day of her young life.
Thanks to the heroic efforts of her medical team, Dahlia survived, but the ordeal left her with significant needs, including:
Veronica, a devoted single mother of 3, has been a pillar of strength and dedication. She hasn’t had a full night’s sleep since Dahlia was born, constantly tending to her needs alongside caring for her six-month-old baby. Veronica requires around-the-clock assistance including:
Dahlia can’t swallow on her own, necessitating constant oxygen support, a feeding tube, and frequent suctioning to clear her airways. The medical expenses are daunting with limited support from AHS. Every 4-6 hours, Dahlia needs her medication—a schedule that is as rigorous as it is costly.

- cerebral palsy
- Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE)

- a full-time nanny
- two full-time registered nurses to manage Dahlia’s complex medical needs.

- Full time night time nurse and a nanny.
