Help Veronica Avoid Foreclosure
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Lori Suarez, a long time best friend of Veronica Monzon for 42 years. I decided to start this GoFundMe for my bestie. She is a single mother with her last child graduating high school this year (2025). She lived with her father at their family home in San Antonio, TX until his recent passing (2/2021) from sudden onset of COVID. Together, they met monthly financial obligations with his retirement combined with her income but since his passing-she’s been left with mortgage & other responsibilities on a single income. She’s been so close to foreclosure and experiencing homelessness for her and her son. She’s making negotiated monthly payments and now facing a “balloon” mortgage payment this July, something the mortgage company offered to “help” her catch up with past due mortgage payments. Her son works a minimum wage job when not in school to help with some of his expenses as a senior in high school so she does not have to be burdened when those expenses come up, which makes her feel so bad as she knows that is her responsibility as a parent that she just cannot meet right now because she’s trying to keep a roof over their heads, the lights and water on, and food on the table besides other monthly expenses (medical, vehicle, etc). She has cut monthly costs where she can, including getting help with food from food pantries, as her sole income working as a caretaker for the intellectually disabled population living in group housing facilities just does not cover the balloon mortgage payment she’s facing in July not to mention their overall financial living expenses for herself and her son (utilities, food, medical and now vehicle problems). I understand she is not the only person struggling these days and I just can’t imagine the enormous stress she experiences every moment of the day. My hope in starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my best friend is she can be the beneficiary of monetary donations to help her with the balloon “catch-up” mortgage payment so she doesn’t have to face foreclosure and homelessness. Any dollar amount is helpful, appreciated and would be such a blessing to her. I sincerely appreciate your time in reading this and hope to raise some much needed funds for her benefit. Thank you.
