Hi, I’m Veronica!

I’m a trans woman living in Oklahoma, and I’m asking for support as I take a vital step in my journey: gender-affirming bottom surgery.

I’ve lived with gender dysphoria my whole life, and every step I’ve taken so far to alleviate it has helped tremendously. This is a necessary and life-changing procedure, but the road to getting there has had some unexpected detours.

The Journey So Far

With help from my wife and friends, I finally cracked my egg and realized I’m a woman in 2024. I began my transition that July and every day since then I’ve been able to feel more and more at home in my body. Life since then has been a whirlwind of joy and unexpected troubles.

Less than a year after beginning transition, I was laid off from my career as a web developer. I navigated eight months of unemployment, trying to find something in an incredibly tough job market. I’ve since landed on my feet working as a server in a local restaurant, and while I’m grateful for the work, the transition from a desk job to a highly physical environment has changed the math for my surgery and recovery.

My wife Caitlyn, our cat Greg, and I live frugally to make ends meet, but we don’t have any cushion to handle a major medical event and the significant time off it requires.
