Help Veronica Adjust to Life with Winnie
My name is Kathy Toledo and I am organizing this Go Fund Me account in honor of my sister Veronica. God gave her a second chance at life after suffering from Ulcerative Colitis for the last 7 years. She had a near life death experience in Florida in which we almost lost her to this disease. Our parents made it possible to bring her home to Nebraska for a life saving surgery. She has spent weeks and weeks at the hospital and is finally home recovering just in time for her 23rd birthday. Veronica now has an ileostomy bag that she has named Winnie. This has been tough for our family as well as Veronica who has had to move back for her surgery and recovery. She had to leave her new apartment, her job, and her car all behind in Florida. She has inquired lots of medical and personal expenses.
God has truly helped in bringing Veronica home. Veronicas recovery will be a long and difficult journey, requiring extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and significant adjustments to her living situation.
Please donate for Veronica's recovery and her new journey with Winnie!

LIFE UPDATE:
Recently life has been crazy. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis when I was 17 and have been dealing with pain ever since. For the past 4 months I have been dealing with very scary health issues that turned me into the “walking dead”. From having questionable care in Florida and having my angel of parents come help me back to Nebraska, I finally got the care I deserve. So much pain and so many hospital stays later I now have a ileostomy bag, that is the removal of my colon. It is going to be a long journey to recovery and becoming stronger again but I was given a second chance at life and I’m so grateful to be pain free, UC free, and most importantly healthy. Ostomy bags are beautiful and it saved my life. I named my stoma Winnie the Pooh ( long story lol ) but let’s welcome Winnie to the family!!!
Ostomy’s are cool!!!
Life is short, life is crazy, who knows where I’d be. Happy 23rd birthday to me.
God did his big one with me, incredibly happy to be here.
