Help Veronica, Aaron, and Kiwi move to a safe home.
Donation protected
My son Aaron and I moved into our home on November 1, 2017, and before that, we lived in our townhome on Compass for 5 years. I do not own the home; I rent it. Along with my rent, I am responsible for paying the water bill (along with all other household bills of course).
Due to intolerable conditions/behaviors of my current landlord that have made me feel unsafe and unable to enjoy the home, Aaron and I must move between now and October 31. We are seeking a single-family home, at least 2-3 beds/1 bath, a basement, and yard space suitable for Aaron’s medium-large service dog, Kiwi, to run around.
This is an unexpected but necessary move, and in truth, I am TERRIFIED. But as scared as the idea of moving and coming up with money to move is to me, I want to be able to peacefully enjoy where we live and feel safe.
We live on a very tight budget, and since this is an unexpected move, we have not been able to save up any money for it. Aaron is on the extreme end of the autistic spectrum, so this move, this situation is extremely stressful for him. This situation has also triggered my anxiety and PTSD.
This money would go towards moving expenses such as application fees, deposit, closing BGE bill (when you move, you end up with 2 bills), deposit for Comcast, U-Haul rentals, and other expenses that come with moving.
