I've recently found out that one of our teammates is struggling even more than ever, which is saying a lot. I'm talking about #34 Vernon Rochester, who took his last steps ever playing side by side with his brothers on the football field. That's over 40 years he's been in that chair!

After losing his mom and sister, Vernon is basically on his own now. With the economy the way it is and the fire in the family restaurant, that family legacy is a distant memory now.

Currently, his electric is turned off, he has no money for kerosene, and he is freezing his tail off under stacks of blankets. It may be difficult for him to even stay in that house now for very much longer.

Any help is greatly appreciated as even $20 of kerosene will keep him warm for a while.

Thanks in anticipation to all my teammates and to everyone else with a heart full of empathy and kindness for someone else.
