Hello, my name is Linda Lewis Combs and I am pleading for help for my older brother, Vernon A. Lewis. He is a veteran from the Air Force and served in the Vietnam crisis. He is now living in an assisted living facility that takes his entire SS, VA benefits, and his work pension to even keep him in there.

On Dec. 27, 2024, he fell and broke his hip. He had surgery, then 20 days of rehab. Medicare only pays for 20 days. I got him from rehab and back to the assisted facility he lives in. In February, he had to undergo another surgery for infection in his wound. He is now back in the hospital after his 2nd surgery and they are saying he will need 6 weeks of intravenous antibiotics. They will only pay for 20 days and then the price will be $203 a day. We have no means to pay for this treatment and I am begging for help. Not sure how much it will be but I am also on a fixed income and could never pay this.
