In the early morning hours of Friday, May 31st, tragedy struck Verna & her grandson, Bryer. A devastating fire consumed their home, along with everything inside. Miraculously, they escaped unharmed, but the loss they have endured is immeasurable. Alongside their two beloved pets, they lost not only their home, but also their means of transportation, adding to the immense challenges they now face.

The outpouring of support from the Pickerel-Pearson Community, friends and family has been heartwarming. Yet, the journey to rebuild their lives is just beginning. Verna is overwhelmed with gratitude for the kindness shown to them during this difficult time.
