Venus is one of my kitties who just turned two this week, and she means the world to me. Recently, we were outside and she got into lilies that were planted outside my apartment building. Lilies are extremely toxic to cats and can lead to kidney failure. After taking Venus to the vet they informed me that her blood levels must be monitored. I was informed hospitalization was ideal but I am unable to afford this. Instead they are asking me to return daily for the next 3 days to have bloodwork done to monitor Venus’s levels. If her levels change, I will have to rush her to the emergency vet to prevent kidney failure. This has been a scary and emotional time, and I am doing everything I can to keep Venus safe and healthy.
