Thank you for giving this fundraising campaign your attention! We are grateful for your time today, and hope that you will consider supporting us in our journey to complete our most ambitious album to date, and to help us take it home through the mixing, mastering and campaign stages.
*NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL, EVERY CONTRIBUTION HELPS*
We love music. We love bands. We love the live entertainment experience and the communities it brings together.
Aside from the internal and individualistic pursuit, one of the main reasons we have come to seek your support is our perspective and respect for legacy: We want to join our fellow artists in contributing all things that recorded and live music have to offer: an examination of, and sometimes solution for pain and suffering, passion, love, romance, depression, and anxiety, and really all the things that make us human, navigating a tricky and polarizing world, alone, and together. We believe that through songs we can all find ways to reflect and interpret the experience of life with the intangible magic of music.
The past several years have seen some major highs and lows for Veers. Amidst the crisis of the COVID shutdown “Universe Reversal” was written and recorded in-house, self-produced out of necessity. Persistence and optimism in the wake of an inactive live music scene eventually brought us a great touring opportunity with Blue October, who took us on tour to the UK and all over America over the course of 12 months from April 2023-April 2024. During that time we learned a lot about so many things, but mainly ourselves and this band, coming home with countless stories and lessons that impacted us greatly.
We then saw the end of a chapter with the departure of both Spencer and Chris within a few months of each other. While we wish both of them the best, the train was never stopping...straight away we got on with the pre-production with even greater intensity and passion. In December 2024 we started working with engineer Ben Pacheco to begin the process of re-writing and recording Veers’ sophomore album.
This album is dark and moody, panicked, anxious and rude...all while maintaining a smile and staying grounded, while simultaneously floating off into a dream. It confronts the experiences we’ve gone through over the past 4-5 years, addressing personal relationships as well as the anxiety we face everyday living in polarizing world, on what feels like the brink of catastrophe. We think it’s an important bookmark and snapshot that we hope many others will find connection to.
We are putting the last few songs and final touches on the albums track list, and are eager to enter into the mixing stage with Dan Molad who will be bringing these songs to life.
As many of you know, music production and it's next steps is not cheap for the quality we’re hoping to attain. We’re asking for $20,000 to pay for mixing, mastering, and the campaign to assist in addressing the challenges and costs of breaking into the next chapter we’ve been working so hard towards.
We all have a relative hesitancy to reach out and ask for help; maybe coming from humble beginnings, probably a bit of pride...but all the while we know that it takes a community to build something special, something bigger than ourselves, and that’s really what a big part of this band believes in. As artists, there is a lot of introspection, an inherent interpretation of a singular view on an experience. But really, the impact each of us can have on one another through what we share is one of the ultimate wonders of being human and sharing our experiences with one another. It takes a community and strong foundation to build, and with that belief we arrive here with you today.
We feel that to get the most out of the experience of the album and the soon-to-come live connection, not just for ourselves, but more importantly, for the audience we share this life with, it would be in our best interest to complete this process “properly,” which in our view can still be done within a humble budget. With your support we believe we can quickly reach this financial and community goal and continue to improve what we have all been working towards our entire lives.
If you’re a supporter of the arts, of music, of live music, of passion, of community and connectivity, please consider donating to our GoFundMe.
We feel that Veers is bigger than all of us, and we hope to continue to share our music and life with the world at the highest levels. With your help and support, we know this inevitability can be become an eminent reality.
Thank you so much,
Andy, Nick and Mark
