My sister is a devoted mother of four who has always been the one helping others. After escaping an abusive marriage, she worked tirelessly to provide for her children as a single mom. Now, she needs our help in her fight for life.
Over the past two years, she endured escalating pain that doctors initially misdiagnosed as anemia. Her weight dropped from 220 to 120 pounds as her condition worsened. After countless appointments and sleepless nights of unbearable pain, she was finally diagnosed with stage 3 cancer.
She faces a challenging treatment plan: radiation and chemotherapy before surgery, tentatively scheduled for August. The large tumor must shrink before doctors can safely operate. She's been hospitalized twice for severe anemia, requiring multiple blood transfusions and iron infusions each time.
What she's facing:
- Daily pain medication and monthly chemo pills
- Ongoing medical appointments and treatments
- Hair loss and physical changes that devastate her emotionally
- Four children watching their mom fight for her life
What she needs:
- Help with mounting medical bills and medications
- Nutritious food for her restricted diet
- Comfortable clothing and warm socks/gloves
- Washer/dryer for frequent clothing changes during chemo
- Cleaning supplies and toiletries
- Utility assistance and rent support
- Gas money for medical appointments
- A recliner for comfort during recovery
Despite everything, she tries to stay strong for her children, often hiding her pain so they won't worry. But the financial stress is overwhelming during an already impossible time.
Our goal is $12,000 to help cover essential needs during her treatment and recovery. Every dollar will go directly to her medical expenses, daily necessities, and support for her children.
She's always been there for others - now it's our turn to be there for her. Your prayers and any financial support you can provide will help give her hope and the resources she needs to win this fight.
Thank you for your generosity and prayers. If you're facing a similar battle, know that our prayers are with you too.
