My name is Vee. I'm a 20-year-old transgender man in a relationship with my lovely boyfriend, Alex. As of lately, trans and queer people are becoming more at risk of losing rights. (Starting today, you can only legally be recognized as male or female; we're really quickly being targeted.) As such, we've set aside an escape plan to Canada for a while now. It seems like we may actually need it after today (Jan 20th).

Outside of me being trans, my boyfriend and I are in a same-sex relationship. If minorities are being targeted, chances are that it will spread to other similar minorities (such as gay people being able to marry being outlawed).

We've been in a close relationship for well over 10 years and started dating a little over 1 year ago. We plan on marrying someday, so it would directly affect both of us if these things come into play.

If it doesn't happen legally, the fact most Trump followers are against the existence of people like us makes it scary to live here when he's in charge. He's proven he's not afraid to make changes and make them FAST.

Please consider donating even a little bit to help us move to Canada and protect our rights as a queer couple.

Update 3/31/2025:

Things are only getting worst and we haven't made a single cent. It looks like things are chaotic in more ways that will negatively affect us. I suffer from a condition called Endometriosis. Recently, RFK jr has been doing things that threaten the overall medical wellbeing of the country (anti-vax stuff)

Also, on top of this, autism is apparently being targeted.

Both me and my boyfriend are autistic. There's nothing "wrong" with autism.

Please help us a find a way out of here before things get worse

It looks like medical things are just getting worse under RFK jr. Scientists are quitting, meetings have been delayed. I'm no reporter so it's just best if you look into it if you wanna know the full story. It just isn't looking good. I'm immuno-compromised and I can't risk staying in a country where the head of the department is a clown that might cause more outbreaks with an anti-vaxx mindset.
