Help Vaughn Andersen in His Time of Need

Vaughn is resting comfortably in a private care home under the close eye of hospice nurses. They have all been so wonderful watching over him. Thank you to all who have come by to visit and show such an outpouring of love and support. It is y'all who have made this horrible ordeal much more bearable. Please keep Vaughn in your prayers as he prepares for the next part of his life's journey.

Family, friends, and all other good People, it saddens me to have to humbly reach out for assistance. But here we are. I am Beth Andersen, doing this for my brother.

My brother, Vaughn Andersen, has had increasingly progressive dementia. He's had good days, but recently mostly bad days. To exacerbate the situation, he (we) were dealt a sucker punch to the gut. After feeling very poorly for a while, I took him in to Supreme Care Emergency Room & Urgent ER Care - for what I was hoping to be dehydration and a major UTI infection. However, it was much worse. Turns out, he has a 10 cm mass in his kidney and it has metastasized to other parts including liver and lymph nodes. We are waiting on a final report of the biopsy, however, it doesn't look good. He is in pain.

I have tried, for the last year, to get him on disability. More recently, I have tried to get him on emergency Medicaid. All of this to no avail. We currently have him in a care facility that is a private home and are trying to get hospice in to assist. This heavy expense has been very unexpected and includes, hospice, supplies, medical bills, and loss wages on my part.
