Adam and Amber here reaching out for our dear brother/friend Vanna — most of you know them as V.

Since November 2025, they have been dealing with a serious knee injury related to my rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, this injury has taken them out of work for an extended period of time. They have been unable to work for much of the last month, and while recently securing healthcare, they are facing a long recovery ahead and will likely miss most, if not all, of February as well.

Bartending and working in food and beverage has been their full-time career and passion. Being unable to work has meant lost income, while medical bills continue to add up. This has been an incredibly challenging chapter of their life, especially after how hard they’ve worked to rebuild, stay sober, and remain active in the community they love.

They have always tried to give back — whether through advocating for the LGBTQ+ community, supporting others in sobriety, or simply being a positive and welcoming presence behind the bar in Richmond. Asking for help doesn’t come easily, but right now we know (and they know) that they truly need it.
