Help Vanna Get Back on the Road
$1,100 raised of $2K
In the early hours of Christmas Eve, my catalytic converter was stolen from my car right in front of my home. (I have included a brief clip of the robbery). Police report was filed, but unfortunately the stolen property is unrecoverable.
This unexpected event has left me unable to use my vehicle, which is my lifeline. I need to rely on my car every day as a delivery driver. Without it, earning the necessary income to pay my bills has ceased.
As I'm getting up there in age, finding a new job has been incredibly challenging--delivery driving has been my only source of income. Every bill, from rent to utilities, falls on my shoulders alone.
The added expense of the insurance deductible of $1000. has to be paid before I can consider having it towed to a muffler shop. Replacing a catalytic converter here in the strict emissions state of California runs $1400-$1600.
I also plan on purchasing a Cat Clamp anti-theft device for added security, to help protect the converter. These range in price from $180-$200.
I am now in a very precarious position--losing the ability to pay my rent.
$625.
Your support will go directly toward repairing my car, helping with rent, while restoring my capability to get back on the road to do my job.
A sincere thank you to everyone who donates. And please share this with your friends on social media. Your support means the world to me.
