Help Vanessa with medical and other expenses

Hi,

My name is Laura Pulcini and I am having this fundraiser for my daughter Vanessa who was diagnosed with Cancer on January 26th, “

Primary mediastinal Large B-Cell Lymphoma.” It is a rare form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

It is a fast-growing and somewhat aggressive form of cancer and requires aggressive treatments. “The soft tissue mass was an accidental finding when she had COVID at the beginning of December. She went to the ER by ambulance with chest pain. They wanted to rule out a PE (pulmonary embolism), but they found this instead. Tests show that it is at Stage 5, but luckily no other cancer was found anywhere else. They also did a bone marrow biopsy to check for infection or cancer (still waiting on results. I will update this when we find out). On Monday, 2/14, she will begin chemo. They want to be aggressive with treatment since this is a fast-growing and somewhat aggressive cancer. The treatment will consist of 96 continuous hours of chemo, which will require her to stay in the hospital for 5 days each time. This process has to be done approximately 6 times and spaced out every 3 weeks. They will do PET scans to check the progress of the treatments. After the chemo treatments, they will determine whether she is in remission or have to have radiation treatments.

Because of the aggressiveness of the treatments, Vanessa cannot work until treatments are completed. It will be extremely difficult for her and her family. Vanessa has two young sons, 9 and 6, and she is not one to ask for help; she is fiercely independent, strong and never wants to be a burden to anyone, but this will be more than she can handle. It will be a financial and emotional burden for her and her family.

Vanessa works in the medical field. She is caring and always there for others who need help and support.

This disease and its treatment is going to physically and emotionally deplete her. There will be overwhelming medical bills and regular monthly expenses that she will not be able to cover. I am asking your help to please donate so it will not financially cripple her. So she can concentrate on fighting this cancer and being with her family.
