Help Vanessa with her expenses

Hiiii everyone!

As you may know,

My mom (Vanessa Norman) is in the Winnipeg hospital again.

Ever since the end of last year, she has been snuggling with her gallbladder/ gallstones, and a few complications since.

I am creating this "gofundme", so that whoever wants to help her with expenses.. can!

She will be missing a lot of work in the next while, and will be behind on bills for the next few months. I know she is stressed about missing so much work, and I just want her to focus on what she is going through right now & focus on getting better. She gets very little from the government to help her while she is off work, so I'm asking friends and family if they want to help her in this situation!

I know she hates asking for help, and never will. Which is why I am doing it for her, because I know she needs it!

Money will go towards her bills for the next months, as well as additional medical costs and all the travel costs!

Anything helps and is appreciated!

Momma's story:

When everything started, she had a hard time getting proper help with her pain and issues. After some time being in excruciating pain, finally she was able to see someone and get an answer as to what was happening to her.

Everyone was stunned as to how bad her gallbladder looked, and how infected the area was because of a big gallstone being stuck.

She got sent to Winni for the first time, to get surgery to take it out. But ended up being in a hospital for a while due to complications with the procedure.

After the second attempt of surgery, they were only able to remove a part of her gallbladder and left roughly 10% in due to the gallstone being wedge inside of the duct.

Then she needed to wait after surgery again, with a bag from her stomach for a few days and a few issues as well.

Finally, they were able to send her home and she needed to recover. During this time she was off work for a few weeks (meaning, she wasn't getting any money from work and was not able to receive really any government money during this time.. which put her a bit behind).

During the past few months, she seemed to be okay for the time being. The Doctor told her she needs to go back for another surgery to take the big stone out and the rest of her gallbladder. Which would have been scheduled as soon as they had an opening... but we were told it won't be for a while yet.

That brings us to this past Friday...

At work my mom started to have extremely bad pain again in her stomach and went to the Dryden hospital for help.

They put her on pain medication and did some scans. They told her there was no sign of an infection but the stone had moved.

Saturday she started to get feverish, lots of chills and pain kept coming back as soon as the medication would start to wear off. Doctors took her for more scans, but came back the same.

Saturday at 2:00pm, she was flown to Winnipeg hospital.

They continued giving her pain medication, and in the evening they moved her into a room. Her last meal was Friday at noon, so finally she was able to drink some apple juice.

She started having some more chills, got stomach sick and was very cold.

They kept monitoring her throughout night.

Sunday at 3:30pm, she was finally scheduled for a surgery.

When they took her down for surgery, she was told she needs to wait until later in the evening because they are too busy at the moment.

Later, they were finally able to do surgery on her...

When she woke up, she was told there was a stone in her liver duct that they removed, as well as a few others that were blocking a duct. They also needed to put a stint in.

She has another infection, she they then needed to start giving her medication right away. And she was continuing to have fevers, cold sweats and stomach sickness.

They had her on IV's and her blood pressure was high.

UPDATE:

As of yesterday, she was finally able to eat a meal.

She was then told by the surgeon that she needs to stay in the hospital for a few days. They will do another surgery on her to take the big stone out, as well as what they can of the remaining gallbladder. They will need to open her up this time.

He told her that there is a chance of her bile duct being damaged, and they may have to repair it. If they need to repair it, then it will be a complicated procedure.

Now we are just waiting for the next surgery...
