On December 30, 2025, I tested positive for Influenza B. That night, my life changed forever—I went into cardiac arrest, and my kidneys, lungs, and heart shut down. I was placed on ECMO and received CPR for two and a half hours. After days in sedation, I woke up to the news that I was paralyzed from my mid-chest down to my feet. Now, I am in rehab, learning how to be independent with a wheelchair and adapt to a new way of living.

The past few months have been incredibly challenging. I spent three months in the hospital and rehab, which caused me to fall behind on bills and left me facing medical expenses that I never expected. There are also pieces of equipment I need for daily routines at home that my insurance won’t cover. Your support will help me catch up on bills, pay for medical costs, and get the equipment I need to regain independence and stability.
