Help Vanessa Rebuild After Fire Loss

Hello - Our names are Marie Sheehy and Maria Matis. We have been best friends with Vanessa Pastora for over 20 years and are based in Southern California. Our dear friend and her kids Stella (8) and Dylan (5) lost their entire home and possessions in the Palisades fire. We are organizing donations to help her rebuild her life, since she was only able to leave with one packed bag.

Sadly this disaster came at an especially challenging time for Vanessa. The past couple of years have left her financially drained while navigating life as a single mom. This money will be used to to cover expenses not fully covered by federal aid or insurance.

Even through very challenging circumstances, Vanessa has always remained so positive. We don’t want this heartbreaking situation to take away her light. No one should have to shoulder this type of tragedy alone.

So many of you have asked how to help, and we all feel so helpless in the face of such overwhelming loss. This is a tangible way to help a devastated mom and her young children pick up the pieces of this disaster and move forward.

This little family has lost everything so no amount of help is too small.

We recognize many of you may be personally impacted by the fires or have friends and family affected so we understand if you are supporting in other ways and hope all of you are staying safe amidst this tragedy.
