My name is Vanessa, and I’m a proud trans woman currently fundraising for my top surgery. After much reflection and with the loving encouragement of those around me, I’ve decided to open up and ask for help reaching a goal that means the world to me.

In Canada, recent updates to the classification of gender-affirming care have made it significantly harder for trans women to access surgeries like this. While the full cost of the procedure is around $18,000, I’ve set my fundraising goal at $10,000 in the hopes that your support can help bring me closer to this life-affirming step.

This isn’t just about a procedure—it’s about aligning my body with who I truly am. It’s about waking up and recognizing myself in the mirror, about walking through the world with more confidence and peace, and about allowing myself to fully embrace the life I deserve to live.
