Help Vanessa Greene slay breast cancer

Hi! My name is Ashley and I would like you to meet Vanessa Amber Greene: my soul sister, my best friend, and up until a few months ago, my roommate for the past two years. During that time, we went through so much together, and now that we live apart, Vanessa is facing the fight of her life on her own.

While we lived together, we lost her beloved puppy of 14 years, and most recently, her stepfather and my uncle passed within a day of each other. Through these experiences, I witnessed her strength and tremendous growth, and as we just celebrated her 29th trip around the sun, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Vanessa is a fighter, a true warrior queen. She works tirelessly in animal care, traveling for out of state training, and recently promoted into management. She is a heart-felt volunteer to special-needs organizations. She is also an accomplished model where she slays any campaign she is hired for, so I have no doubt she can kick cancer's ass too. Not only is she coming into her own, but she is a tremendous friend to all who love her. I have never met someone so incredibly thoughtful, sentimental, and kind. Through our time living together, she was always there for me through the highs and lows. In her birthday card, I wrote that I am so proud of her and the way she stands in everyone's corner, and how she’s grown so much to stand in her own. Now, it's our turn to stand in hers and support her in this journey. As we all know, cancer is a costly battle. My friend would do anything for anyone, and because of that, I would do anything for her.

So, I am asking that we all come together in support of this sunshine in human form through this journey she will face. Up until her birthday, when she had her lumpectomy, she had never had surgery before. It would mean the world to her to have her be able to focus on healing, resting, and caring for herself and not to be overwhelmed and in stress about the cost of everything that is to come.
